After 12 days of snow siege, I walked in my snow boots to Bestbuy to get a xbox360. I’ve never been a gamer, and the only experience I ever had was playing tennis on Wii and hit some guita buttons on Rockband. For a research project at work, I was doing some comparative anlysis on online discussions regarding gaming systems. I would have gotten a Wii for family fun, but I can’t miss the Netflix video stream on Xbox-even the quality is not good as on DVD, it’s better to get something I like to watch rather than wait on commercial breaks or netflix dvd to arrive. Yes, I know that Xbox is for “hard-core” gamers who’s hunger for a lot of actions, speeds and maybe blood; but still I was quite shocked at the level of the dedication from Xbox game titles to these three elements. Kong Fu Panda was the only one I played now on my new console, and under my fingers, Panda PO was wandering aimlessly like a drunk, bumping his head and tummy here and there, or beaten black andd blue by his enemies-but at least I learnt how to cheat up to be Kongfu Master. Also I do like the graphics on Xbox-way better than those in Wii games. I saw there would be an xbox game based on Dante’s Inferno which soundds more interesting than any games have in their categories. If Xbox marketers happen to read my blog, I hope they will come up with some educational games for young babies(I don’t like all those games based on box-office movies) Before that, I will enjoy all the BBC shows and PBS documentories on my Netflix queue and cheat on Kong Fu Panda on friends or family gatherings. Me? gamer? way to go.
